On the morning of May 26, Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Investment Adviser to the Chief Minister of Melaka and Special Envoy of Melaka State to China, led a delegation to Guangxi Minzu University (GXMZU). Wei Shizhen, President of GXMZU, and Gao Xingyu, Vice President of GXMZU, met with the delegation in the conference room on the first floor of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange. The two sides engaged in discussions regarding the advancement of cooperative projects, faculty and student exchanges, and collaboration in teaching and research.

President Wei Shizhen extended a warm welcome to Datuk Lim Ban Hong and his delegation. She stated that the University has always been committed to building platforms for international exchange and actively promoting cooperation with universities in ASEAN countries. She expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to deepen the cooperation between GXMZU and Melaka State in areas such as joint talent cultivation, academic resource sharing, and research collaboration, thereby injecting new momentum into regional development and international educational exchange.
Datuk Lim Ban Hong commended GXMZU for its achievements in international education and regional studies. He briefly introduced the economic development, culture, and education of Melaka State. Lim expressed hope that both sides would use educational cooperation as a bridge to further expand exchanges and collaboration in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Zheng He culture research, aiming to achieve mutual benefit and common development.
