On the afternoon of September 22, Guangxi Minzu University held a charity donation ceremony for student aid held by the Lao Alumni Association. Jiang Mingguo, Vice President and member of the university's CPC Standing Committee, attended the ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by Xie Ying, President of the Lao Alumni Association, relevant leaders of the association, representatives from relevant departments of the university, and student aid recipients.

Jiang Mingguo expressed gratitude to the Lao Alumni Association for its care for its alma mater and its generous donation. He noted that the Lao Alumni Association is an important platform for the university to carry out external exchanges with ASEAN. He called for giving full play to the role of alumni as a bridge and bond and telling the university's story well. He also encouraged student aid recipients to be self-reliant and grateful, and to give back to society and repay their alma mater after completing their studies.

Xie Ying reviewed the preparation process of the alumni association and said that since its establishment, the Lao Alumni Association has extensively pooled alumni strength and actively expanded the university's exchange channels in Laos. She hoped that the assisted students would cherish the care, devote themselves to study, and grow through tempering.

The student aid recipients then spoke one after another to express their gratitude.
