On October 12, the opening ceremony of the 2026 “Chinese Bridge” Visiting China Program for Educators from the Confucius Institute at Mahasarakham University, Thailand, was held in the conference room on the first floor of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange at Guangxi Minzu University (GXMZU). Gao Xingyu, Vice President and member of the university’s CPC Standing Committee, attended and delivered remarks. Sakhon Kingchan, Provincial Education Officer of Ubon Ratchathani Province, also delivered remarks. Heads of relevant departments of GXMZU participated in the event.

On behalf of the university, Gao Xingyu extended a warm welcome to the Thai educators, expressing the hope that the program would enhance mutual understanding and trust and deepen the friendship between the two sides. Sakhon Kingchan expressed gratitude for the hospitality and spoke highly of the Chinese teachers, expressing the hope of promoting the development of education and the common progress of teaching in both countries. During the free exchange session, the two sides held in-depth discussions on scholarship programs, cooperation models, and other topics.
