On August 18, the international symposium "Law and Development: Experiences of Vietnam and China," co-hosted by Guangxi Minzu University (GXMZU) and Hanoi Law University of Vietnam, was held at Hanoi Law University in Hanoi, Vietnam. The symposium drew extensive attention and participation from experts, scholars, and students from China and Vietnam, who took part both online and on site. Among the participants were Professor Peng Zhen, Vice Dean of the China–ASEAN Law School; Associate Professor Huang Xianqing; Dr. Lu Jie; Dr. Li Weibo; Dr. Cui Cui; Dr. Xu Zhanpeng; and Dr. Lu Bingquan, together with Pham Thi Thao, a Vietnamese doctoral student at GXMZU. Hoang Xuan Chau, Vice Rector of Hanoi Law University, attended the symposium, along with heads of the university's departments and faculties, experts, and student representatives.

The successful holding of the symposium attracted wide attention from legal circles in both countries. It further consolidated cooperation between the two universities, established a regular platform for academic exchange, and laid a solid foundation for future joint research and the exchange of visiting scholars.
