Introduction of the School of Applied Technology
The School of Applied Technology of Guangxi Minzu University was established in December 2021. It is located in Wuming Campus of Guangxi Minzu University. The school was founded in direct response to the national initiative to strengthen vocational education. It offers concentrated undergraduate programs for graduates of higher vocational colleges, with the mission of cultivating high-quality professionals, high-caliber craftsmen and skilled talents. Building on this foundation, the School is dedicated to advancing the integration between vocational and general education, between industry and education, and between science and education, thereby contributing directly to high-quality development at both national and local levels.
The School covers 11 undergraduate majors in computer science and technology, civil engineering, metal material engineering, intelligent manufacturing engineering, environmental engineering, automation, accounting, tourism management, logistics management, business management and intelligent manufacturing.
The School focuses primarily on science and engineering, while also offering programs in the humanities and management, and is committed to high-quality, connotative development. It is actively exploring effective approaches to vocational education that serve regional economic development and social progress. Building on this, the School is firmly committed to the path of applied undergraduate education, with the clear objective of building it into a distinctive and prestigious brand. To this end, the School is establishing a well-developed system for cultivating applied-innovative talents, and focusing on enhancing the overall quality of its applied-innovative talents development, scientific research, and social services. Ultimately, it strives to build a distinctive “School of Applied Technology” that meets the needs of our time, thereby making greater contributions to the high-quality development of Guangxi Minzu University!
