Management School, founded in May 2000, was renamed to Economic & Management School in July 2003 and after, divided into Management School and Business School in March 2005. In March 2016, the Department of Public Administration was merged into Political and Public Management School.
We have three departments expertised in Business Administration, Tourism Management, Information Resource Management, two centers named as Management Discipline Laboratory Center and Management Consulting Service Center, together with a national-level and a regional-level training base—— China-ASEAN Tourism Personnel & Education Training Base and Guangxi Achieves Personnel Training Base. Four undergraduate majors of Business Administration, HRM, Tourism Management, Archives are set as well as six Sub-discipline Master’s Degree Authorization Points such as Archives, Library Science, Information Science, E-government, Enterprise Knowledge Management, Protection and Development of Ethnic CulturalHeritage. We offer two Professional Master’s Degree Authorization Programs —— Tourism Management and Library & Information Science, one NationalFirst-rank Characteristic Discipline, two Regional-level Focal or Characteristic Disciplines.
With37 staff, 72% with senior title and 45% doctorates and1,206students, we have been paying attention to international co-operation and have established relationships with other nations such as Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and the US. The “3+1” mode is applied to 75% majors aiming at the development of advanced management personnel with global vision and innovative concept.
We have achieved abundant academically in 5 years with over 300 papers,published10monographs,20Provincial and Ministerial Scientific Researchs,and 10 Science ResearchAchievement Awards. Moreover, we won the title of “National Model Staff’s Home”, “Guangxi Advanced Teaching Staff’s Home”, “Guangxi Advanced Community-level Party forInstitutions of Higher Education”and“54Red Flag Youth League Sub-committee”.
