Introduction to the School of Artificial Intelligence

The School of Artificial Intelligence currently has 92 faculty and staff members, including 38 with senior professional titles, 35 with doctoral degrees, and 53 with master’s degrees. Among them are five doctoral supervisors and 50 master’s supervisors. The school is home to one recipient of the Inaugural Young and Middle-aged Academic Leader among Guangxi Higher Education Institutions and one high-level talent introduced through flexible recruitment mechanisms. The faculty demonstrates extensive teaching experience and strong research capabilities. 

The School operates two experimental buildings with a total area of nearly 9,000 square meters. It hosts two Autonomous Region-level key laboratories—the Guangxi Key Laboratory of Hybrid Computing and Integrated Circuit Design Analysis, and the Guangxi Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Visual Collaborative Robots. It also houses one Key Laboratory of Guangxi Higher Education Institutions—the Laboratory of Complex Systems and Intelligent Computing, as well as two Autonomous Region-level Experimental Teaching Centers—the Experimental Teaching Center of Computer and Embodied Intelligence, and the Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center of Computer and Electronic Communication. 

The School also maintains nearly 30 university-level undergraduate teaching laboratories, including the Computer Organization Principles Laboratory, Embedded Technology Laboratory, Internet of Things Technology Laboratory, and Comprehensive Software Training Laboratory. Currently, the School possesses 3,165 sets of teaching and research instruments, equipment, and office facilities, with a total value exceeding RMB 17.8 million. 

The School offers one academic master’s program in the first-level discipline of Computer Science and Technology, encompassing four research directions: Artificial Intelligence and Applications, Image Processing and Intelligent Systems, Network and Information Security, and Big Data Technology and Applications. It also offers one professional master’s program in the first-level discipline of Electronic Information. At the full-time undergraduate level, the School offers seven programs: Computer Science and Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence (Sino-Australian Joint Training Program with Credit Recognition), Intelligent Science and Technology, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, and Information Security.
